Climb AI publishes articles as items in a Webflow CMS collection you choose, using the Webflow v2 API and a site API token.

    Generate a site token
    In Webflow, open Site settings → Apps & integrations → API access and generate a token with the scopes sites:read, cms:read, cms:write, assets:read and assets:write.

    Pick your site and collection
    In Climb AI's site setup, choose Webflow and paste the token. Climb AI lists your sites, then the collections in the one you pick — select the collection your blog posts live in.

    Map the fields
    Match Climb AI's Title, Slug, Content and (optionally) Main Image to the corresponding fields in that collection. Slug is required — it must map to the collection's built-in slug field.
Any other field in the collection marked required in Webflow must either be mapped or made optional there. Webflow refuses to create or publish an item while a required field is empty — this is a Webflow-side constraint, not something Climb AI can bypass.

A separate publish call flips the item live after it's created/updated—
Creating or updating a CMS item and publishing it are two separate API calls. Climb AI checks the publish response's errors array before marking the article as Published — if Webflow rejects the publish, the article stays in its previous state instead of being reported live.
Webflow's publish response doesn't return the item's live URL, so Climb AI can't always show it immediately after publish — it depends on your site's domain and the collection's URL structure.
