Site audit and the fix queue
What the crawler checks, how issues are scored by category, and how you act on what it finds.
A full site audit crawls your website page by page and scores it across six categories: Content Quality, Technical SEO, Mobile Usability, Links, Performance and Security. Every page it visits gets its own report with the specific issues found on it, tagged critical, warning or notice.
What gets crawled
By default a crawl covers up to 500 pages, 3 links deep from your start URL, following your robots.txt unless you've turned that off in audit settings. If Search Console is connected, discovered GSC URLs are added to the crawl and each page report is enriched with its clicks and impressions. Audit settings — start URL, crawl depth, page limit, excluded URL patterns, whether to follow subdomains — are all editable per website.
Schedule
A scheduled-audit check runs daily at 02:00 UTC, but each website only actually re-crawls on its own configured cadence — weekly by default, on Monday. You can trigger a fresh audit manually at any time instead of waiting for the schedule.
How the score is built
Each category starts at 100 and loses points as issues are found on crawled pages; a page load speed problem also dents the Performance category directly. The overall health score is the average across all six categories.
Acting on what it finds
The audit itself is diagnostic — it lists issues per page with a severity and category so you know what to prioritize, plus AI-suggested internal linking opportunities across the crawl. Two tools let you act on individual findings without leaving the dashboard:
- Page optimizer — analyzes a published article and suggests a better title; accepting it updates the article in Climb AI, and on WordPress-connected sites the change is pushed live automatically. On other platforms, apply the accepted change yourself since there's no live sync wired up for them yet.
- Content gap and link tools — generate suggestions (competitor content gaps, internal linking) that you review and apply through your normal publishing flow.
| Allowance | Current plan | Trial |
|---|---|---|
| Full site audits / month | 4 | 2 |
| AI optimizations / month | 100 | 10 |
| Schema validations / month | 50 | 5 |
- GEO audit and fix files — What a GEO audit scores, the fix categories it generates, and how to apply them — one click on supported CMSs, copy/paste elsewhere.
- Allowances and limits — What each metered feature is, how much the trial and Starter plan include, and what happens when you hit a cap.
- Article images — Choosing a style, how many images each article gets, what counts against your image allowance, and how alt text gets written.
